Presentation to Alison Cooley

Last month, we had the great pleasure to catch up with the 2014 Middlebrook Prize co-winner, Alison Cooleywho was also able to view the 2015 exhibition, The Queer Feeling of Tomorrow, by Adam Barbu at Art Gallery of Guelph. Alison was pleasantly surprised to receive the new prize cube and award certificate, which was presented at a special lunch at the incomparable Artisanale in Guelph, by prize co-founders John Kissick and Randall Howard.

It was great to catch up with Alison who has moved on to some really great work in Toronto since her 2015 exhibition I’m Feeling Lucky co-curated with Natasha Chaylowski.

As we prepare for the 2016 prize call for submissions, it is great to see connections forming amongst the Middlebrook Prize winners as they move to positions of leadership in the Canadian arts world.
